Photography Classes Now in Session!

If you have a digital camera or are getting one for the Holidays and you would like to learn how to use it better, this is the class for you. In a small, intimate, class setting, here at my studio we will go over the functions of your camera and when and how to use them best; as well as how to compose an image properly. It's a really fun way to learn how to get the shots you've always wanted to take.

Bring in a friend and you both get 1/2 off. The classes go all year long, but 1/2 offer ends January 20, 2013.

Fall in Love!

Lisa and David said their "I Do's" in an intimate setting in front of their friends and family in their own back yard. The ceremony included some beautiful moments between the happy couple and their children. The sun was shining and there was just a hint of fall breeze while the fall colors set  the backdrop as Lisa and David said their vows to each other. Here are a few words from Lisa, the bride, about this video and what it means to her.

It was a fun family moment for David, the kids, and me to take a few minutes to re-live the happiness of the day. The day itself was incredibly busy with a number of moving parts and people to see; it was nice to take this breath and have a few minutes to remember the fun, the laughter, the tears of joy, and overall happiness we all felt together. The love that is expressed in these photos is undeniable. We had such a beautiful day, and the overwhelming feeling of genuine happiness you were able to capture is more than words could ever describe. You have a true talent in evoking emotion, bringing out personalities, and story telling through your work.

Family Fall Fun in the Park

When I look at the pictures of my children it's amazing how their personalities shine through! Béla the sweet, innocent, rule-follower and Reese the energetic, ornery, helper of the family. Then there's little Grey, who is active and into everything but is a true momma's boy. Life has changed drastically for us over the last six years. A growing family, a move to Denver, new jobs and graduate school all add a lot of chaos to our lives. But the joy we feel everyday being able to raise such wonderful children is priceless.

Brotherly Love

Before Logan's arrival in early June friends and family would ask Austin if he wanted a new little brother to which Austin would reply 'no'. However, his actions spoke volumes different from the first day Logan came home from the hospital. Austin constantly wanted to hold Logan or help mommy by holding Logan's bottle. That brotherly love has turned into laying on the rainforest play mat together. Surprisingly there is enough room for both boys! Austin loves to turn on the rainforest music for Logan, too. Logan already looks up to his big brother and always keeps an eye on Austin when he is playing. We can already tell Austin and Logan will be the best of friends growing up together.

Thanks,
Jana

Grown Up and On Her Way! Senior Portraits

Having just viewed my daughter's senior pictures, I feel my heart strings pulled again as my little girl is transforming into a vibrant, young woman before my eyes. Seeing the joy, confidence and happiness in my daughter's face brings feelings of pride and admiration for the young woman that she has become. Her future is bright and full of possibilities, but it's her character that really strikes me. How did that fiesty little girl grow into such a beautiful. caring young lady so quickly?? It stings my eyes to know that I have to let her go into the world, into college and become independent from us. I'm so grateful for these amazing senior portraits that are not only beautiful, but they capture the vibrancy of my child.
      Thank you!!

The many faces of Adelaide!

When I look at this amazing collage of my daughter Adelaide, a massive smile instantly erupts across my face and I beam with fatherly pride! A small chuckle sneaks out in my throat and I grin impossibly wider. A sudden wave of emotion rolls over me and I’m instantaneously removed from my surroundings and I go to that wonderful mental space that only your child can take you. I’m viewing the multi-facets of Addy’s personality and I am reminded of how blessed I am to have such a wonderfully happy child. I move on and get soooo excited to see how she perceives the world around her and well up with hope as I see the excitement and wonderment at the smallest of things. I also notice that she’s learning about herself and I’m floored by the insight and promise that brings. I find the resolve to live my own life with the same vigor and innocence as well. “A picture is worth a thousand words” is an understatement when you love the subject unconditionally.

Lucy

I see my little girl everyday so sometimes I miss noticing the gradual changes that are slowly happening.  When did she lose that baby fat?  She was the roundest baby!  But look at her now...talkative, bright, sensitive and growing up right before my eyes.  She was so excited for this photo shoot -all of the attention on her and the big milestone of her 8th birthday.  The fastest 8 years of my life so far...time really does fly when you are having fun.

LITTLE BOY BLUE

When I look at my son’s newborn photos, I’m reminded of what a miracle it is that he’s here.  Shortly after giving birth to my daughter, my husband and I experienced some fertility challenges and were told that I would be unable to conceive again without substantial medical intervention.    After months of doctor visits, a plethora of medications and a lot of desperate prayers, we finally received a positive pregnancy test!  When I see the precious sleeping face of my son in his photos, I’m amazed and humbled by how beautiful he is and I know that every step we took to have him was worth it.
